 Prasan has over 15 years of experience in database systems research and development at Bell Labs, IBM Research, IIT-Bombay and Aster Data Systems (now Teradata-Aster). At Aster Data Systems, Prasan was responsible for the overall architecture and development of Aster nCluster's parallel query optimization and planning component, as well as for innovative analytics operators such as Aster nPath. At IBM Research, he worked on structured/unstructured data integration, efficient query log matching in IBM Optim Capture/Replay, and declarative analytics on IBM BigInsights. Prasan holds a B.Tech. from IIT-Delhi and an M.Tech. and a Ph.D. from IIT-Bombay, all in computer science.
